ARTIST STATEMENT
From birth I was destined to be an artist, being borne into a family of four generations of artists.
As a modern artist I am surrounded by modern images, symbols and use modern things, but I am only a link in a long creative chain. Art is the voice of times past, all the dead fathers, reflecting their lives. The symbols used are timeless, applying to a universal query about mysteries of the creation.
This tradition shows all the possibilities, the depth of the human spirit, but this tradition is also challenging me to create a body of work which has integrity and meaning, I deal with illusion, but it is not illusion about things that you see, it’s an abstraction of things that you feel.
Physically a painting is there for you to observe however there is a subtleness, which reacts with emotion. I love painting!
